Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara was born in and was raised at Barranquilla, Colombia. The mother of her child, Margarita Vergara Davila de Vergara is a homemaker. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides cattle to meat industries. Five siblings are hers. She went to an English/Spanish bilingual private high school. After completing her pre-dentistry studies, Sofia began to work in the modeling and television business. Then, Sofia was discovered by photographer at the beach, and this resulted in a variety of jobs in television and modeling. In her 23rd year when she started modeling, she was discovered as a model. She co-hosted the travel show Fuera de serie (1996) from 1995 until 1998. The show brought her attention to the American public. The first time she appeared on television was in the 2002 crime comedy Big Trouble. Gloria Delgado Pritchett was the role that made her a star in Modern Family, an American television series (2009). In the period 2010-2013, she won three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Comedy Series for this role. Sofia resides in Los Angeles, California with her son, Manolo.
